Getting there & planning your visit
Getting there without a car
Walk inland along the main street towards Via delle Cartiere. The museum describes a walk of around 10–15 minutes from the centre; add time from your accommodation or the waterfront. No intertown bus or ferry is needed when staying in Amalfi.
Before booking
Compare standard admission with the guided visit that includes a Handmade Paper Experience, and check the tour language. The museum currently sells tickets on-site or online at least 48 hours ahead; check its current opening notice before setting out.

Use part of the local Amalfi day during the three-night coastal stay on our mountains-to-coast route, or make it one focused coastal outing from Salerno. Leave enough time for the return connection.

Villa Rufolo gardens from Amalfi
Head up to Ravello for Villa Rufolo’s gardens and views over the coast. Combine the villa with time around the town’s central square, keeping this as a single outing from your Amalfi base.
Set aside half a day with generous bus and waiting time.
Getting there & planning your visit
Getting there without a car
Check SITA Sud route 5110 between Amalfi and Ravello, then walk to Villa Rufolo in Piazza Duomo. Ravello is above the coast: a ferry to Amalfi does not take you all the way there. Plan your return bus before leaving.
Before booking
The villa currently says entry tickets are sold on-site and reservations are not required. Check the opening notice for your date, since events can change visiting hours. If steps are a concern, confirm access to the areas you want to visit before travelling.
How it fits our routes
Choose Ravello as an alternative to the Positano ferry outing during the three-night Amalfi stay, or as one separately planned coastal day from Salerno. Check the complete return before leaving either base.
Choose the visits that matter to you, then leave time for transport, breaks and the city between them. Time allowances here are planning suggestions, not official visit durations. A place appearing on a route does not mean every visit fits its shortest version.
Before paying, check the exact ticket inclusions, entry or meeting time, age concessions, access needs and cancellation terms. A reserved entry or “skip-the-line” description does not promise that there will be no security checks or waiting.
